Undergraduate Certificates Programs
SFS students have the option of complementing their major program with an optional interdisciplinary certificate program. Certificates focus upon specific themes or regions, complement a student's major program and help to structure elective course work. For example, a student majoring in International Economics might choose to earn a certificate in African Studies, combining the student?s interest in development with courses focusing upon the political or cultural context in which economic policies are crafted. Students interested in pursuing a certificate are encouraged to meet with their faculty advisor and their dean to explore ways to integrate certificate courses into their larger academic plans.
